David found himself single several years ago and asked his friend Gicela if she knew any nice single girls. "Well", Gicela said, "My friend Laura met you at a party several months ago and she was actually very impressed." David realized that this was not an opporunity he should pass by since a woman having such positive feelings directed at him was not a frequent occurance. David took down Laura's number from Gicela and thought he would give her a call sometime when he felt he was ready to go on a date.
Meanwhile, Laura was growing increasingly pessimistic about the prospects of meeting a nice, decent, and generally well adjusted man in Boulder, Colorado. One day she was chatting with Gicela and commiserating about the challenges about finding a good man (many men introduced themselves to her but the decent ones remained elusive). "My friend David was asking about you and I gave him your number", Gicela told her. "Let him know he can call me any time" Laura responded.
Later that same night... Gicela relayed Laura's response back to David and he immediately responded asking Laura to dinner. "A woman who is excited to go out with me is NOT someone I should keep waiting" David told himself. It took only a few dates before they realized they were kindred spirits and that each was the one the other had been looking for. David got to work trying to teach Laura to snowboard and Laura took on the even greater challenge of teaching David to dance Salsa.
David was soon introduced to Laura's mom, Patti. It took just a few chile rellenos and David's heart was captured. "Well its a good thing you like my mom", Laura explained, "because we come as a bundled package!"
